PRIVATE HOME ONCE-OFF SMOKE ALARM SERVICE
$149 INCLUDING GST

What we check during a visit

  • Smoke alarm locations, condition and manufacture dates
  • Cleaning and testing, where applicable
  • Battery condition for alarms with replaceable batteries
  • Interconnection, to check that linked alarms activate together
  • A written smoke alarm compliance report outlining our findings, any faults and any recommended work

Report validity: All smoke alarm compliance reports are valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The report records the condition of the system at the time of inspection. If a fault occurs or the system changes afterwards, another assessment may be needed.

Further work: Replacement batteries, smoke alarms, components and electrical repairs are handled in accordance with the service or subscription terms and quoted separately where required. Sealed 10-year batteries cannot be replaced individually; a faulty or expired alarm may need to be replaced.

Same-day sale compliance inspections

$180 inc GST for private customers, subject to availability. The higher fee covers priority scheduling, short-notice attendance and expedited reporting. Alarm replacements and rectification work are quoted separately.

Your annual service includes:

  • Inspection of smoke alarm locations, condition and manufacture dates
  • Cleaning and testing of alarms, where applicable
  • Checking that interconnected alarms activate together
  • Checking replaceable batteries and advising if replacement is needed
  • A written report of our findings and any recommended work

If an issue arises with your smoke alarm system during the subscription period, contact us and we can arrange attendance in accordance with the subscription terms.

Additional work: Replacement batteries, smoke alarms, components, electrical repairs and work outside the subscription inclusions are quoted separately where required. A sealed 10-year battery cannot be replaced on its own; a faulty or expired alarm may need to be replaced.
