About Us
About Advanced Smoke Alarms
Local people. Practical advice. Safer properties.
Established by Wayne and Donna Gregory, our Townsville business brings over 30 years’ experience in fire protection to the people and properties we care for.
A local team that cares about the details
Advanced Smoke Alarms helps homeowners, private landlords, property managers, sales agents and businesses across Townsville and Magnetic Island. Smoke alarm safety is about more than ticking a box. It is about helping people feel confident that a home or property is protected.
Every property is different. Whether you need an inspection, help preparing for a new tenancy or sale, or advice about replacing an existing system, we take the time to understand what is already installed and explain what needs attention. Our team aims to make each step clear, from the first booking through to the completed report.
What we do
Practical smoke alarm support for individual homes and managed portfolios.
Inspect & service
We check alarm locations, condition and manufacture dates, then test and clean alarms as applicable and check interconnection.
Install & upgrade
We help identify suitable replacements and upgrades for the property and provide a clear quote before additional work proceeds.
Report & follow up
We document our findings in writing. If an issue is found, we explain what is required and the cost to rectify it.
Why customers choose us
We believe good service starts with listening. Our office and field teams work together to coordinate bookings, property access and communication, while keeping owners and agents informed about the work completed.
We explain our findings in plain language and recommend work based on the property’s needs. Written reports, clear quotes and careful follow-up give customers a useful record and a clear next step.
