ONCE-OFF SALE INSPECTION
$130 inc GST
Inspection and testing of the property's smoke alarms, followed by a written report valid for 90 days from the inspection date.
The $130 once-off price is subject to business-to-business approval. If the property is already under a smoke alarm subscription with us, there is no charge for the sale compliance inspection. A compliance report will only be issued once any applicable payment has been received. Replacement alarms, upgrades and electrical work are quoted separately.
What to send us
Sales agents can issue a work order or email us to book. Please include the property address, the owner’s name and billing details, and any sale or settlement deadline.
Please advise whether we should collect keys from the agency office or arrange access directly with the homeowner. If submitting a work order, clearly note that the job is for sale compliance, especially when the property is already under a smoke alarm subscription with us. We will confirm the booking details.
What the inspection covers
We review alarm locations, condition and manufacture dates.
We test operation and check interconnection as applicable.
We identify faulty, missing or expired alarms and explain any work needed.
We provide a written report of our findings after the visit.
Need an upgrade before sale?
If the property is not compliant, we will email a detailed report of the findings with the cost to rectify. We will quote the work separately and seek approval before proceeding. Existing hardwired alarms that are replaced must remain hardwired and be interconnected with the other required alarms.
